Each VALORANT agent has four abilities. Two of these are basic, which are available to buy at the beginning of a round. The agents also have one signature ability, which is automatically available at the start of each round, and an ultimate ability, which must be charged before it can be used. Jett's second ability is called Cloudburst, and is similar to many other agents' abilities as it works as a smoke grenade. The downside to using Jett's is that it does not last as long as many others' and it costs 100 credits. However, Cloudburst can be curved midair when thrown meaning Jett can smoke around corners. This is good for creating escape routes, and also deterring enemies from coming through doorways or through choke poi  
Riot's marketing strategies have been equally as impressive. Their stylish promo videos aside, beta key bribery was a surefire way to gain traction fast; Twitch's VALORANT category often sits at well over 1 million viewers – nothing to bat an eye  
Even though its delivery is solid, there are still a few minor grievances. Occasionally, I noticed that rounds would freeze before "buy" phases, though this usually wouldn't last for more than 10 seconds or so. And lastly, Sova's ultimate ability, Hunter's Fury, can be activated after collecting seven ultimate orbs around the map. This ultimate can be shot through walls and across the map to deal damage to players. It only fired three times so players will need to locate opponents before firing. Trapwire is Cypher’s second basic ability, giving the player a tripwire to place at the map’s chokepoints. Once placed, Trapwire will extend to whatever structure stands opposite the wall it was placed on. Should an enemy cross through it, they will be tethered, dazed, and their location revealed if they do not destroy the trap in time. Sound and visual cues can alert the enemy of the Trapwire if they take a careful approach. If discovered, the traps must either be shot down or avoided with the use of another agent’s abilities.
