Vegetarian or not, come this way, this is so nummy. This recipe is vegetarian, therefore you beef eaters may want this with a beef, pork, or maybe whatever meat steak. This is not a strategy for Vegans however, I have not gotten there yet unless I fill up on vegetables and fruit. Hey! this is a concept, vegetables and fruit. One should remember the basics if a person wants to stay healthy right?
Years ago for about nine months I was a vegetarian. I acquired a lot of vegetable stuff.. veggie hot dogs, veggie patties, unknown the things they were supposed to be very, anyway you get the picture right? I needed to end up being a vegetarian for the creatures. I experienced to quite guilty and I suppose I still do, though I consume meat again and I estimate near off that part of me that worries about it. Once in a while I make this dish only as I like it. The consistency is very meaty actually. Try it, Gather further details I assume you are going to like it Micky!
"Oatmeal Mushroom Steak"
One TBL. vegex (like a bouillon cube)
1/2 cup warm water 1 tsp. sea salt (yes if you are gonna be healthy and fit ensure it is sea salt, smile)
1/2 sage or perhaps poultry seasoning
One onion chopped 3 TBL. Butter (I always use real butter, the taste can't be compared)
Three eggs properly beaten
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 soup cans - water that is hot
One can mushrooms (I know, I can' hear' you, canned material isn't so much healthy)
Two 1/4 Cup uncooked old fashioned oatmeal
Saute the onions in the butter. Combine everything except the mushroom soup, two cans of hot water and vegex. Mix well. Cover and allow it to stand for aproximatelly 45 minutes. Mold the mixture into small food size patties as well as fry in oil that is hot until golden brown. (Gads yet another unhealthy thing, stop thinking very loud! I hear you all the way to Hawaii). Pour a little of the soup mixture (all the things you did not utilize to create the patties) in the bottom level of a 9x12 baking dish to coat the bottom. Arrange patties in addition to mixture and handle the remainder with the soup mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Yay, you're nearly done. Make just a little salad and a little fresh fruit for dessert, set an incredible table. Yay!
